Let us take you to the “Land of the Thunder Dragon”, a country of rolling hills and towering crags exuding a charm that would mesmerize you for a long time. Bhutan – is a place on earth that even the most seasoned travellers consider a privilege to visit, though very few manage to make it. This is the “Land of the Thunder Dragon” or Druk Yul. This is also the land of Dzongs (Fortress) and monasteries. This is the land of the endangered Black Necked Cranes and the land of beautiful scenic Himalayan mountain ranges. Bhutan’s beautiful and largely unspoilt Himalayan setting, its rich flora and fauna and its vibrant culture have made it an increasingly popular tourist destination.

“The Land Of Thunder Dragon” – Bhutan

Day wise detailed itinerary of the trek

Day-1
Arrive at Paro International Airport.Drive to Thimphu. Evening visit The Largest and Tallest Statue of Buddha in the world, Buddha Point & stroll around Thimphu town.

Day-2
Day Trip of Thimphu. Visit Tango and Cheri Monasteries. Cycle to Trashichhodzong, the beautiful medieval fortress / monastery which houses most of the Government’s office and King’s Throne room.

Day-3
Cycle / drive from Thimphu to Punakha. Visit to Punakha Dzong. Then visit, Chimi Lhakhang.

Day-4
Punakha Day Trip. Visit Punakha Dzong, Khamsum Yulley and Namgyal Chorten. Cycling / driving to Wangduephodrang.

Day-5
Biking / Driving to Gangtey. Afternoon excursion to Phobjikha valley which is a designated conservation area and famous for black-necked cranes.

Day-6
Cycle / Drive to Trongsa, crossing 3,300 m high Pelela pass.

Day-7
Visit Trongsa Dzong and Ta Dzong and then Cycle / Drive to Bumthang, crossing Yotongla pass and Kiki la pass while reaching to Jakar.

Day-8
Bumthang –Wangduephodrang. Drive to Wangdue. Evening visit to Wangdue local market.

Day-9
Wangduephodrang – Paro. Drive to Paro. Visit Rinpung Dzong.

Day-10
Full day sightseeing in Paro. Excursion towards Taktsang Monastery, also known as Tiger’s Nest. After lunch Drive to Chelela Highest Motorable road in Bhutan.

Day-11
After breakfast Transfer to Paro International Airport for your onward journey.
